Our predilection is distinctly bound up with our initiating form (birth).  And as a result it is directly connected to our assemblage point as well as connected integrally with our relationship with the world as it is.  Predilection is discovered and honed over a lifetime.  The sorcerer is able to see that medicine is both a trap of repetition and a gift of freedom because it allows one the hint of a pathway to being and not being (the gateless gate, the doorway to third attention).  In the abstract our predilection allows for conversation and varieties of experience to be shared among those who know their predilection well.

Predilection is built up by the stories of the past, the stories of the present and the stories we tell ourselves in our heads.  The ancient sorcerers fell into the trap of thinking that second attention was the way to freedom.  They became obsessed with individual abilities and selfish medicines.  They drove the initial gift of knowing the power of shifting the assemblage point to another position and created a solid second attention but they never un-wrote the patterns as they gathered intent and created new perceptions, which they thought they could totally control.  They became very adept at manipulating intent from these new positions but never shifted that far from the initial position of the assemblage point we now call first attention.  This is why we called them by number, different attentions.  We attend to them, hone them and repeat behaviors to stabilize and justify them, even dreaming attentions and other worlds.

The gateless gate

Art is the ultimate pursuit of knowing the beauty, the patterns, the colors of this amazing world.  As artists we stretch into the realm of the unknown and bring back wonders for the eye to see.  The warrior/seer eventually submits all his knowledge, awareness and action to the utter pursuit of the mystery of creation.  And thus touches the divine in all things on earth and beyond.

This dance is amazing.  The overwhelming power of intent is all that guides the warrior/seer to become the artist of life’s mysteries.  The warrior cleans his house, himself, removes all obstructions to the fluidity that is pure seeing.  Silence manages that seeing and personal power drives the warrior to the seer.  When we see completely and still recognize the limits of even our seeing, we open to new bands of awareness beyond comprehension… then the artist takes full charge and shifts his perception throughout the matrix of the luminescence of life.

The Ultimate Maneuver

The universe, and for that matter all universes, is filled with unfathomable mystery.  We are bound by the perceptions and conditions we choose every day, often unconsciously.  This Gordion knot of being is something we have tried for years, centuries, to unravel only to discover there is more to unravel.  It is the warrior’s mission, duty, and delight to unravel those mysteries.  We value freedom as a central core but cannot define nor even grasp what freedom is.  That is the greatest paradox.  To seek freedom, to desire it in all its manifest forms is to watch it constantly slip through our fingers.  For it is grasping and clawing and fighting for freedom that inevitably become the net we get tangled in every day.  We are just free.

The Eagle

For greater reference, see Carlos Casteneda’s the Eagle’s Gift before reading this account…

Recently while working with a death and dying individual, I saw with extreme clarity the Eagle, its workings, and its nature.  Still reeling from this experience I became exceedingly frightened for hours afterwards.  But as the minutes past, I realized that it was not me that was frightened but rather the part of me within, the foreign installation, that was scared to death of seeing what I saw.    The simplest explanation is that the Eagle is not self-reflective.  It just does what it does without consciousness as we can know it to be in freedom.   It injects self-reflection  with the foreign mind into our species to cultivate this as food for itself.  It is in no way personally involved with what it is doing.  It just farms us for tasty morsels.  This is very similar to factory farming our animals for food.  The great sin is to become personally connected to that which is your food… don’t name your food!   It does not name us, nor is it personally interested in us.

A Letter to my fellow humans

Dear Humans,

When I first read your books, your sacred texts of belief, I had no response.  In fact it confused me as to why you wanted me to read them in the first place.  But then again, we are in some way entangled energetically and my love for you and our life experiences together as humans are rooted in the entanglement that we shared.  What I see in these writings now is a lack of connection over a number of years.  And a lot of context is missing from our connection.  The words that you share in your textbooks are beautiful, they are human experience and they are the path that you are on.  I see your struggle with the shadow, an essential part of being human.

I want to share my journey with you because we have shared so much, but fear the words would be taken as a rejection of you.  You may think that what I say is a secret or hidden truth.  This is not a rejection of you or your path.  Far be it for me to tell anyone that the agreements that they have made with the universe are wrong.  They are not wrong…. But I risk to share, for my journey has been in and through this universe traveling the bands of awareness.  I am first and foremost an artist, a seer of life, a sorcerer.  A toltec warrior who has dared to leave the village, the center of the town, the agreements which were inherited and pushed upon me with a voracity of the foreign mind and installed for me to acquiesse to the dominant paradigm.  This was and is not enough for me… because it is fraught with not-enoughness, the best definition of evil.  I see in your words as a push to know the old paradigm at its best, yes at its best it is a brilliant possibility of humans connected in a network of light and joy sharing in the ecstasy of the singularity, we are all one.  That cannot be denied as a beautiful vision.  A vision for humanity which vibrates with the collective drive and essence for the light.

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.  We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.  Marrianne Williamson

For some time I have reflected upon the book Nueromancer by William Gibson.  The story is of the internet and those that create this global network.  Within the internet are two being, so to speak, that are becoming self-aware.  On one side is the entire databanks with all the information about every human story and drama.  This includes but is not limited to the machinations of governments, secrets and the banking reality but it goes into everyone’s private lives too.  On the other hand there is a self-aware program which, like a virus, is the shadow side of all things within the internet.  Between these two entities there is all of human life.  Things happen, the story moves and is interesting, but ultimately it is when the shadow entity and the data entity of internet merge that this being assists the planet and all of humanity to communicate beyond the limits of our solar system.  There are other planets out there.  Humans as a whole create this entity to stretch to where they cannot go physically.

Circles or Lines, it’s a Matter of Evolution

“Time keeps on slippin’ slippin’ into the future.” Fly like an Eagle, Steve Miller Band   Ain’t that the truth!  And there is little we can do about it.  Or is there?  There is an obsession we humans have with time.  Are we wasting it, are we making the most out of it?  Are we moving towards some inevitable point like time wave zero or are we moving around in circles repeating all the things that ever happened before?  These are the mysteries, these are the wonders of our ability to remember and thus project… It all comes down to circles and lines.
