Nagual Man, Nagual Woman… self important readings

The Nagual Man

The Nagual Man

In correlation with the previous post on the nagual and tonal, one of my favorite quotes comes from the Heart Sutra. “Form is emptiness; emptiness is form.” Emptiness does not mean nothing, it means absence of structure and solidity. We need this to create that (form)… And vice versa. There is no actual duality in the totality of the universe. It is a constantly changing, constant pattern making system. Order emerges (form) and it becomes self-regulating through a constant link with the nagual. This is probably one of my favorite ways to speak of the relationship between the nagual and the tonal.

But there is a distinct confusion that arises in the works of Casteneda with respect to the Nagual. In this instance, Don Juan uses the term for an individual who, having connected totally with more than just the tonal and can shift their assemblage points, they reach a point where they can shift other assemblage points as well. They are in essence constantly connected to the nagual. Therefore the term, Nagual in honor of a person thus evolved.

The Rule of the Nagual; a Toltec Warrior’s Discipline

Freedom is the goal of the spiritual warrior.  But there are several kinds of freedom.  It has been suggested that the Toltec warrior rejects the rules and “plays from their own perception and rules as they see fit.”  That’s a nice statement but not an accurate one for the path unless breadth and depth are understood behind that statement.  What pulled many to the Toltec path is often what pulls anyone away from the culture and social conditioning which is steeped in the many paths of the world today…. Dissatisfaction with the way things are going or running.  But this does not mean that we don’t live by rules or agreements.  What we do is evaluate and discern which rules have hidden traps for attention and perception which fixate our assemblage point not allowing it to move to other bands of awareness.

Toltec, Nagualism and the confusion about lineages

Recently there has been a frightening number of bandwagon effects surrounding these words.  These words are intense and loaded.  As a Toltec warrior and a person walking a path as a man of knowledge, it has come often to my attention that if it is said on Wikipedia and on some video on the internet it must be true.  If enough people pass that along then it becomes accepted as fact.  Clarifications are in order, and not from the internet, but from direct experience and connection to intent and hopefully well established lineages.  This bandwagon effect is exactly what occurred in the first century to the nagual Yeshua Ben Joseph though in context he would have never used the word nagual, rather “gnostic” or knower of spiritual pathways.

Assemblage Point Book

Assemblage point is a book that came to me fully formed in my thoughts during a ceremony about a month ago.  It quickly came into form from this dream state in about one month.  It is about a concept from Carlos Casteneda around a part of our energy bodies through which we perceive the world… the assemblage point.  To shift the assemblage point is to see more of the world, or other worlds.

Dreaming

Recently I was discussing dreaming with a friend of mine.  We both got into the words and realized that everything out there about dreaming is limited by the context of the words that are used to describe it.  Don Juan noted that by the time he understood what dreaming really was, there was no way to stop using the term to define what he was doing, yet at the same time, dreaming in the limited sense of what we do at night is not really dreaming in a toltec or seers sense of the word.  So it became necessary to actually try to define what it is… so here goes. AVATAR

In what has to be one of the best movies of our time technologically, spiritually and emotionally, Avatar definitely hits the mark. We were rocketed on a journey through a world that was different enough from our own to engage our sense of wonder and attention as well as similar to our own for anyone who spends time truly connecting with mother Gaia on all levels. The play of lights in a primal forest of Pandora was food for the soul, a reminder of who we really are.  Avatar connects one with the true intention of life, to be in balance, to walk with awareness, to fly with freedom and to love with abandon.
