Birth - Ink on paper

Birth – Ink on paper

We are nothing as warriors of freedom if we are not in our power. But what is power? What does this mean? Where does it come from/go?

Power is not control. This is a common misperception of power. Power cannot make things happen, we do not gather up power and then use it. Power is not like a battery where we are charged up and then release at some later date. That is control. When we gather up and try to save our power, we are actually shutting it down and losing all control. We are stopping up the river, so to speak and thus have no access to power. A dam is a great analogy for power. But real dams do not stop the flow, they direct the flow and in directing it they intensify the power that can be drawn from the dam. And if that power is not used, not moving along the lines and consumed as intended, then it moves on and away. There is no past to power, there is no future to power, power just is.

One of our favorite saying is, power is as power moves. Motion, movement, constant flow is the only way power works (even from a scientific point of view!)… so when we say power is as power moves it means we are the conduit through which power moves. But where does power come from? It comes from all around us, mostly the sun. The sun is an intense field of energy which changes all the time. Through that change power moves out from that position of the sun’s assemblage point and blasts through our solar system granting the earth power. The earth has power too. It has a charged core and mantle that is heated by the sun which pulses (yes actually pulses like a heartbeat) energy through its systems. Also the moon through rotation around the earth pulses and thus the earth-moon creates power in the oceans and tides and weather. Power is thus distributed throughout our system as pure energy all the time.

The earth is efficient. Where there is no motion, there is death. Where there is death, there are other life forms that live off of that death and transform death back into life, power which is in constant motion. Just like silence is not quiet, power is not static nor stable. So we must learn as warriors of freedom to recognize where power is not moving through us and energize those areas to motion to get them back into the flow with power.

As we grow, we pile up layer upon layer of static repetitions. This in some ways allows us to use less power/energy to do things. You would not want to relearn how to walk every time you attempted it, so the pattern their becomes efficient and simplified so you can walk with less energy. But this is not where the trouble begins. The trouble begins when we create dams where there is no flow. A real dam always flows, a bad dam does not. For us dams are created in areas within our being that we have not recapitulated. These cause disease, both mental and physical. We can actually hold onto these dammed up energies for a lifetime. But eventually they are broken down and must flow into new life.

There was a man who held onto the fears and angers of his childhood with reckless abandon. He dammed the flow of energy and could not love (love is the flow of power)…. In the end his heart was clogged and he became racked with disease. His heart died, and thus the damn was broken and the release of energy was immediate and quick. This is exactly what the predator wants from us. To become damned up, fearful and bound energy.

When a normal person (warrior) dies who has been in the flow of energy, all damns completely recapitulated, their energy flows in a unique way. The power that had been flowing through the system, opens gently and a great subtle light is released. This light is full of power because it can ride on the same power that it had been throughout life. The body has nothing left to it and it is returned to the earth from whence form arose. But it returns as a gentle leaf blowing in the breeze. The predator cannot see this kind of death. The old ones called this burning with the fire within. But it is not a raging fire, not a random pulsation. It is a subtle maneuver. We release the inventory and stories and shadow of life to the earth where the predator has no power.

For the average person, who has done nothing but hold onto the patterns, is a loaded dam energy and there is a different kind of death. This death is vibrant and chaotic. This death has multiple colors to the seer. And this kind of death is racked with a flame that attracts the predator. The predator has only a brief period of time to consume this energy. First it becomes aware of that energy and speeds in faster than ordinary death. It does so to increase the fear and folly of our lives. People who die this way claim that they see their lives pass before their eyes. Of course, nothing is recapitulated, thus the recapitulation is done all at once in the moment of death… and thus the energy is consumed as it is recapitulated by….the predator. The earth cannot help in situations like this because the earth pulsates at a different vibration and has systems for breaking down normal death into its component parts. The earth moves slowly and steadily to return the components to their right place. And in working this way boosts those that die in freedom to another level of awareness. But lacking flow with real power, she can do nothing for those trapped by the predator.

It is a hard thing to watch someone die. They move to the pulse of their own patterns and if the work has not included an understanding of real power, then they are lost in the mire of death rather than the freedom death brings. Power is as power moves. We all have a chance to move within power, to align with it, to be a conduit. We all have a chance to build dams and increase our power resources if we remain in the flow. And we all have a chance to release the dams so we can return to the natural flow that is there.

As a warrior of freedom, we are in our power when we are in the flow. We see the movement of power and the resources we have to move power throughout our bodies, beings and lives. There is no disease but a loss of human form – a building up of dams, or the formulations we have created which are too dammed up. We have many resources to release and destroy those bad dams and create better functioning systems. But the key is to remain in the flow… to be constantly moving and allowing power to move through us always returning to the source, the universe where it circles around again and re-energizes our dance.

Power is as power moves…

Lodge of Freedom

Mystery of Seven

Mystery of Seven

For almost 23 years, this warrior of freedom has walked a practice that is called lodge. While warriors of freedom, Toltecs if you will (though not limited to that), are people who recapitulate all ritual, religion and patterns, this practice has become an amazing key to freedom. Staying away from the topic for as long as this blog has been in existence was a conscious choice. There is nothing about lodge that can save anyone from anything. This is a critical distinction. The only practice that can and does lead to deeper understanding and freedom is recapitulation. But it is time to share the idea with warriors of freedom around the globe.

Lodge has become a beautiful obsession, a shared wonder, and an awesome practice. Lodge is a space within which silence is cultivated. Lodge is a space where recapitulation can be done with increased focus. Lodge is a space where warriors can celebrate who and what they are and the path we share together. Lodge is a space where we throw down the gauntlet at the predator and say, NO! Lodge is a space where we can heal, knowing healing comes from within our own being. Lodge is a space of creation and creativity for creators. Lodge is a space of darkness that swirls with energy and light that focuses our intention. Lodge is a space where we become INTENT.

Cancer – The Predator in our Times

Without a doubt, we live in magical, interesting, and amazing times. At no point in the history of humans on this planet have we had more access to information, awareness and communication across our globe. We have cracked so many mysteries of our universe scientifically. We have linked our spirituality to reveal the inner workings of our belief systems in a network of being that criscrosses our globe every day. In an instant anyone can look up, learn and connect to just about anything. But along with all the good, we have released the anger, frustration and darkness from the depths of our planet. We have released toxins into our food system, produced energy that is changing our weather, and invented chemistry to sustain a level of economic growth unprecedented in this globe’s history. Medicine has come up with solutions to almost every part of our bodies. And throughout this process we hum along no different than the people of the Roman age, blind to the energies we are surrounded by and create with.

From deep within this amazing time, the predator, who plays on our fears and emotions to distract us from freedom and awareness, has created the ultimate bottom feeder, cancer. Cancer is the penultimate warrior’s challenge.   It forces us to clearly admit the utter physicality of our spiritual path. That we are since conception a part of a drama to which we, no matter how much we recapitulate and free, are immersed within the belly of the beast. We do and can create anything as warriors, for this is what our path is all about… shifting our assemblage points dramatically and drastically to not become food for the predator up to and including the final maneuver. But the cancer is everywhere present at the base of the life pyramid.

Mandala of the World

Mandala of the World

We do not need a new president to rally our hearts in false promises and hopes. We do not need more politicians to grandstand on each side of the issues. We do not need a new religious leader, guru or savior to tell us what has already been said. We do not need a new movement, party or organization promising a new tomorrow. We do not need new technologies that can make our days different. We do not need new thoughts, philosophies or systems of knowledge to satisfy our ration. We do not need a new star in the heavens to guide our way. We do not need a new justice system or regulator force to keep the status quo.

We need peacemakers. We need them in every aspect and walk of life. We need them in our hearts and minds. We need to stop the conflict, the overpowering need to be right, defended and on top. We need to listen to the peace within the depths and take action to stand up against the violence of our words and deeds with non-violent action. We need peacemakers in our towns, our cities our country sides in every corner of the world. We need the peacemakers to awaken and stand against all extremes that would bring us low. We need them in the secret organizations and all public places. We need the peacemakers to awaken now.

No election, movement, drama, conflict, battle, church or temple is necessary for the peacemakers. They are next to us, in us and all around us at all times. Peacemakers create the possibilities of real promise. Peacemakers commit to the fundamental right of human freedom and awareness in the world. Peacemakers walk away, leave and shun the conflicts for they will consume themselves by their own weight and energy.

We need peacemakers…. We need you, me, all of us to wake up to real peace.

Doubling Our Perceptions

If the definition of intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing or conflicting ideas in one’s head without making a decision or losing it, then the definition of fluidity to a warrior of awareness should be the ability to hold two positions of the assemblage point at one time without going completely mad.

Of course everything is perception and we know as warriors of awareness that reality is truly constructed on our perceptual framework. In other words the energy drives the manifestation of reality. Yet there is a healthy argument that the universe has a basic structure, albeit fluid and flexible, which is stable and maintains certain rules. (Even Chaos theory supports this.)

Mountain Meditation, Ink on paper original, framed

Link to Skyfall

We sit quietly at the edge of the nothing.  And stare deeply into the nothing.  In awe we notice the utter simplicity and beauty of every moment.  We cry a deep a noble cry within this beauty.  It moves us to words, it moves us to silence, it moves us to paint, it moves us to do something.  Nothing seems so awesome in the face of the intent of the universe then to constantly create, co-create and spiral from and to infinity.

As warriors of awareness this edge point is where we live, on the verge, in the moment ready to leap into….  We gather strength where the average person cowers in terror at the awesomeness and wonder.  We gather a love of all that far surpasses the trivialities of vain glorious desires.  We gather momentum to turn around and return to the village where things seem so destined for self destruction.

The artist of awareness must stumble, must fall, must endure hardships in the face of infinity.  This strengthens our resolve.  This does not harden our edge points, but rather softens them to a state of plasmic fluidity to burn with the essence of life.  We have with this energy choices beyond the norm.  We have the courage to face the dying of the light.  We have the energy because we hold on to nothing but infinity and the freedom to choose something new, something better.

It has been the warriors who make changes to first attention, with thoughts, images, words and deeds.  Warriors that don’t capitulate to the dominant matrix mind.  Warriors that throw everything they have at the world, for it is just this one life that is worth living in infinite freedom and beauty.  Take the words of Howard Zinn.

Who cannot in the face of such words not want to be an activist?  Who would not care to round up the revolution in the face of all that is?  Who would not lay down ones life for the chance to make a difference in this world?  Especially after being in the desert, in the forest, on the edge ready to leap into the abyss.

We struggle so hard to recapitulate, to gather our energies for the definitive journey.  Yet while we are resting, we can also make a difference.  And we can shift this band of awareness into something….. awesome!

Death is the Only Adviser

Vortex Meditation SM

Carlos Casteneda was asked if there was a quick way/practice to freedom. His answer was that a warrior struggles every day and endures, but if he could sum up everything that Don Juan said in one practice, it would be saying every day of every hour to ourselves, “I take responsibility for my death.” Even just a brief period of meditation practice can loosen up energies that can be better used for anything.

We are creative beings of pure energy, but life is expensive. Everything, and I do mean everything, costs in energy. We don’t get out alive. But so often we play a shell game with death. We enjoy and escape into all sorts of things, never knowing nor acknowledging the simple aspects of that cost. When we take responsibility for our death, we are facing forward into whatever is is.
