Dis-appointments with Power

All events eventually rise to the level of myth. Loss of accuracy, historical perspectives and first person accounts leave so much to be desired the further back we go. Myth steps in, elongates time, brings meaning behind things and fosters a sense of awe. How is it we still search for absolutes in myth… even last week’s myths… when the purpose of myth is to bring a sense of awe and mystery to our lives? If we could see absolutely every point in history, we’d be sourly disappointed in our pasts, even frightened of it.
