The River is Power

This chant came to me within the space of ceremony.  I share this freely with the world.  If you can feel the beat of the drum as you chant this, each verse can be sung over and over for longer than 4 stanzas.  As one chants these verses, intent will open a connection to the earth and our link to the pulse of the earth.  This is free to all who wish to use this with the drum.  It just came through and I give it away….

Peace

The river is power

The river is power

The river is power

The river is power

The earth is our power

The earth is our power

The earth is our power

The earth is our power

The earth is emblazoned with the fire of life

The earth is emblazoned with the fire of life

The earth is emblazoned with the fire of life

The earth is emblazoned with the fire of life

We owe the earth an unpayable debt

We owe the earth an unpayable debt

We owe the earth an unpayable debt

We owe the earth an unpayable debt

All we have is the fire of life

All we have is the fire of life

All we have is the fire of life

All we have is the fire of life

We are emblazoned with the awareness of life

We are emblazoned with the awareness of life

We are emblazoned with the awareness of life

We are emblazoned with the awareness of life

The earth is burning with the fire of life

The earth is burning with the fire of life

The earth is burning with the fire of life

The earth is burning with the fire of life

Life is all that awareness can be

Life is all that awareness can be

Life is all that awareness can be

Life is all that awareness can be

The river is power

The river is power

The river is power

The river is power

The river is life

The river is life

The river is life

The river is life

The earth is our power

The earth is our power

The earth is our power

The earth is our power

  1. Visited by the snow owl again:
After reading your post, your chant resonated with me.
Last night, as began to move through the dream fog: I heard the drumming and saw the energetic movement of a sacred dance. I was watching a bird dancer. The dancer directed the energy out and in. The energy looped and folded rolling like the waters tides. A voice sounded and I heard a language I have never heard before. Somehow I know the words have something to do with snow which is water.

    I came across this:

I’m blown away that the Inuit tribes have so many words for precipitation, and the magnitude of your words: “We owe the earth an unpayable debt” is haunting.

  2. Moya,
You hit upon the very verse that haunted me as I sat by the river. Cold water/snow is also this eiry sense of bursting forward too. The chant began in a tongue that I do not know and from this it moved into english and began to make more sense to me. Somehow we connected, I am glad you enjoy the chant, it is not mine, it belongs to whoever…

  3. “The river is power.” Recently, my neighbor was taken by the river.

I resonate with these words more than ever:
“For a seer, the truth is that all living beings are struggling to die. What stops
    death is awareness.”

    “The river is power.”
